U.K. formally recognizes Palestinian state

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the U.K. will recognize a Palestinian state after Israel failed to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza. Australia and Canada have made similar announcements ahead of the United Nations General Assembly.
